How to Entice People to Sign Up to Your Newsletter

February 12, 2019 by Lynn

One of the things that you will realize as an email marketer is that people are not always willing to give up their email addresses. There was a time when people are willing to exchange email addresses with you simply because they know that their emails are just used for fun. Emails have definitely changed over the past decades.

There are a lot of people who use email addresses for business purposes. People now guard their emails as much as they can. It has been said that people would like to avoid getting emails from companies that they do not trust. If you get people to give out their email addresses to you, this is a sign that you have done something right. With the right approach, you can steadily build up the email list.

If you want to know more about how you can acquire email addresses, this is one link that you can check. Emma provides information not only for emails but for marketing in general. You will have a lot of fun learning new information in words that you can easily understand.

These are some of the things that you can do to make people want to sign up:

  • You have to become clear about the things that you can offer to your subscribers. People do not want to subscribe and not get anything good in return. What if you would offer a discount coupon or you will provide a private sale? If you would deliver, you can expect that your subscribers will let other people know about it.
  • If you already have an audience because of the content that you have created, you can get people to subscribe to you. Ask them to subscribe and it will be their choice if they truly want to sign up or not.
  • Make sure that your sign up form can be easily seen within your website. There are a lot of business owners who wonder why there aren’t any people who subscribe to their newsletter. The moment that their websites are checked, the newsletter can barely be found. Always check this to be sure.

Do you think you are ready to make people sign up to your newsletter soon?

Create Your Dream Bedroom Even As A Tenant

December 19, 2018 by Lynn

Contrary to popular belief you don’t have to wait until you purchase your first home in order to create the bedroom of your dreams. If you’re interested in discovering how I turned the plain master bedroom, in the property which I was renting into a chic, stylish haven, simply continue reading.

How to create your dream bedroom even as a tenant: Tips and tricks

  1. Don’t use screw in hooks to hang up artwork

As you don’t want to damage the walls in the house that you’re renting, use hooks which use a gentle adhesive, instead of traditional hooks. I used such hooks to hang up a few carefully chosen pieces of art, including a painting which a friend had painted for me.

  1. Place a chaise, ottoman or sofa at the foot of your bed to add a bit of glamor to your bedroom

When I designed my dream bedroom, I wanted my bedroom to look like it belonged in an interior design magazine. So I played a white two-seater sofa at the foot of my bed. To make my sofa look more inviting I draped a mink blanket over the armrest of my sofa. Which instantly made my sofa look more luxurious.

If you plan on placing pricey items in your bedroom it’s well worth making sure that you have home and contents insurance!

  1. Invest in purchasing a stylish, chic rug to dress up your bedroom

It’s also worth spending a small amount of money on purchasing a chic rug, which you’ll be able to place in the middle of your bedroom or under a brand new sofa. I personally chose to place a white shaggy rug underneath the sofa which I purchased. However, as you’ll have your own unique sense of style there’s nothing wrong with

  1. Purchase a reversible duvet cover for your bed

If you want to be able to quickly change the look of your bedroom, it’s well worth investing in purchasing a reversible duvet, as by simply turning your duvet over you’ll instantly be able to change the look and feel of your bedroom.

I personally choose an inexpensive duvet which is black on one side and white on the opposite side. I tend to use the white side of my duvet in summer and spring and the black side of my comfortable duvet in fall and winter when it’s colder.

  1. Purchase blackout curtains

If you’d love to be able to sleep in until your alarm rings in the morning or to enjoy mid-day naps in the weekends, it’s a great idea to purchase high-quality blackout curtains. As once you place blackout curtains in your bedroom, you’ll be able to create a pitch black environment, during the day.

Better yet, blackout curtains can be quickly removed, when you move out of the house which you’re currently renting!

  1. Place gold accents around your bedroom

I placed gold accents such as gold photo frames and gold candlesticks on the desk in my master bedroom, in order to add a touch of sophistication and luxury to my bedroom.

So if you’d love to turn your current bedroom, in the house you’re renting into your dream bedroom, it’s well worth getting inspiration from the suggestions which I listed above! You should also consider having protection of your belongings or make sure that your landlord has you covered while renting. Homelet insurance or similar insurances are a good option in order to make sure you are covered in the event anything happens to your dream bedroom and rental property.

Four Ways To Keep Your Home Beautiful

November 22, 2018 by Lynn

Once you’ve been settled into your home for a number of years, you might naturally allow standards to slip a little bit. After all, you’ve been there for so long, tidied the same corners so many times, that you might not realize that you’re slowly allowing your home to descend into a state that’s less than perfectly beautiful. Even if you are cleaning regularly, you may feel that something’s not quite there, that something’s missing in your picture of your beautiful property. This guide looks at four ways in which you can make your house stunning again.

1. Continual Pride

The basic element to keeping your home consistently beautiful is always to feel pride in the look and feel of your home. You should always see your home as an extension of yourself and your character, and as such, you should treat it with the same respect that you treat yourself. Whether than means cleaning your home more often, or buying it ‘new clothes’ every once in a while to change the appearance of sofas, decor items and even entire rooms, you should make sure that you’re taking pride in the beauty of your home.

2. Individual Practices

If you’re looking to restore the highest level of beauty to your home, there are plenty of things that you can do on your own other than tidying it. For instance, over the course of many months, you’re likely to have some fudged paintwork and the scuffs from shoes on the floor, maybe some spillages on carpets or even some cracks on your plates, mugs or cups. Take the time to comb through these, painting, replacing, repairing and removing stains and broken items so that your home is a vision of perfection and beauty once more.

3. Professional Assistance

For some home beauty solutions, you’re going to need to turn to the professionals. For instance, your carpets can be cleaned professionally to restore their original charm by companies such as My Technicare. Windows are cleaned by the experts too, while garden and landscaping experts can help you rearrange the area outside your home to make it far more attractive and alluring to yourself and your guests. Finally, there’s the option for renovation, restoration or extension that’ll always be there if you’ve got the funds and the energy to embark upon an exciting home redesign project to imprint additional beauty onto your home.

4. Meticulous Tidying

Most homes look under their normal level of tidiness if they’re simply left to become a little messy. Scattered magazines and newspapers look a whole lot worse than when they’re stacked. Childrens’ rooms are far more attractive when there’s not a litter of toys spilled across the floor. Kitchens look best when most utensils and utilities are tucked into cupboards or in-built into the architecture of your kitchen space. Make sure that you’re often tidying your home so that you restore its desired aesthetic: one of comfort without clutter, and beauty without untidiness.

These four tips will help you keep your home in the most perfect state of beauty that is possible, which will, in turn, make your feel happier and more comfortable in the place in which you live.

Prom Look Inspiration from the Most Iconic TV Shows and Movies in History

November 1, 2018 by Lynn

For decades, television and film have been inspiring prom looks in young women around the world. Whether your style is classic or alternative, whether you’re looking for petite ensembles or plus size prom dresses, there’s no inspiration greater than the TV shows and movies that are known for some of the best and most unique looks in history.

I’m JJ’s House designer, Jessica, and my specialty is special occasion wear. If you’re in need of some prom dress inspiration, I’ve got you covered. I’m here to walk you through some of the greatest prom moments in television and film history so you can find a dress that makes you feel like a superstar.

80’s and 90’s Inspiration

Maybe you’re an old soul who’s really into 80’s and 90’s pop culture, or maybe your prom has a throwback theme. Whatever the case, there are some really unique prom looks from the TV shows and movies of yesteryear.

One of the most iconic dresses in 80’s film history comes from Pretty in Pink. The main character in the movie goes to prom in a pink polka dot and lace dress with a very unique cut. Off-the-shoulder puffy sleeves are paired with a lace halter-style neck and the whole thing is fitted but loose at the same time. It’s definitely a show-stopper.

The 1984 movie, Footloose, is full of inspiration, but one of the best in the prom scene is a loosely-fitted white dress with off-the-shoulder ruffles.

The prom episode of the hit 90’s TV show, Beverly Hills 90210, features a sexy off-the-shoulder black lace mermaid dress that will never go out of style.

Alternately, if you’re looking for a more casual, country-style dress, grab the look from Saved by the Bell and wear a fitted denim dress with black fringe.

The Current Trends

Some of today’s most popular shows and films have handed us glamorous, elegant and unique prom dresses to draw inspiration from. Whether you’re looking for something classic and chic or bold and adventurous, there’s a look for you on the big screen.

If you’re looking for a bold number that will keep all eyes on you, check out the prom look from Gossip Girl. The bold black gown with large gold print can’t be missed. Another elegant and bold number comes from Vampire Diaries. The red sleeveless ball gown is a timeless hit.

The OC featured two unique floral-inspired prom dresses that were a bit simpler than the gowns from Gossip Girl and Vampire Diaries. One dress was fitted with floral print, while another was loose and ruffly with large flowers. She’s the Man featured another excellent chic piece with a fitted mint green satin gown with thin straps.

Whether you draw inspiration from the pink polka dots and lace in Pretty in Pink or the simple mint green gown from She’s the Man, you can make a grand entrance and be the belle of the ball in one of these head-turning TV- and movie-inspired pieces.

5 Hacks To Layer Your Necklace

October 15, 2018 by Lynn

If you love the current trend of layering more than one necklace at a time, perhaps you are wondering how to make it look good and not create a complete mess when it comes to time to take them off.

Necklaces are not like putting your wedding ring next to your engagement ring London because in the first place they don’t have to go together at all. How do you go about making the layered necklace look?

You must have at least three

Wearing two necklaces doesn’t qualify as layering. It just looks as if you’re not sure which of the two necklaces that you always wear you want to wear today.

You have to have at least three for it to count as layering, and they will all three be different.

Next is lengths

The next point is that however many you wear, they all need to be different lengths. Necklaces start at about 14” which is approximately the size of your neck. It will sit either right at, or choker like above the jugular notch.

From here you will find that chains tend to go up in two-inch increments, all the way down to your navel (33” or 34” long). 30” will reach to the sternum for most people unless you’re especially tall.

Besides creating the look you want, having one of each length is going to help you take them off without them getting snarled together.

Start with the shortest chain and then add them one after the other, shortest to longest.

Chain style

Although each necklace can be totally different, try and go for the same chain style and color. The effect will be to create a cohesive and obvious connection of necklaces which have something in common.

What you’re trying to avoid is a punk collection of mismatched items, or perhaps a Bohemian collection of items which came together by happenstance.

The effect here is to create something that looks curated. Keeping the chain style and color the same will do that for you.

Try and have an effect through the length

If you plan to wear a 16” and a 33” chain, the third needs to be somewhere between the two. You don’t want it to be either 18” or 30”. This too is about balance. Like the style and color, the balance will look organized and thought out. Imbalance will look like a hodgepodge.

Adding interest

This is where you can let your creative mind run free. Add different shapes and types of decoration. If you have a horizontal bar at say 18” then try to add something that will take the eye downward from there like a triangle or a pendant.

What does it say about you?

The real answer is that it says what you want. The way you construct can be bold or conservative. You can add a color in the form of a bead or colored decoration for interest. You could add a charm here as well.
