Within the last couple of months my kids have been getting heavy into story time, and our collection has grown substantially. Before bedtime and even nap time, both kids run to the book shelves to hand me a pile. Both Tristan and I are in to reading them stories that we read when we were kids, but for the most part, they aren’t old enough to grasp some of the plots.
I was really excited to be introduced to My1story and their wonderful collection. Logan already knows the characters, but the adventures are new.
Inspired by happy endings and good morals, My1story has released a line of children’s books with the all too popular and well known characters, with a twist.
Lil’ Riding Hood & Wolfie star in I Love Cake. Instead of a big bad scary wolf set out to eat grandma and Red, you get an adorable little wolf cub out to steal the best tasting cake ever. The problem? He doesn’t want to share. The story is adorable and I really enjoyed reading in to my kids.
Jack’s Beanstalks star in Jack and the Magic Beans which teaches a message about taking without permission. When he climbs high as the sky Jack meets a new friend, Beanie and his stuffed toy Goosy. They have an amazing day playing together but after the day is through Jack sneaks off with Goosy. Jack soon feels guilty and has to make good choices.
I couldn’t get enough of the adorable characters, which also include Goldie and the Teddy Bears, Humpty and the Three Lil’ Pigs and Harry. They are hoping to introduce a plush line and I hope they do it soon!
Logan is really excited about Humpty and the Three Lil’ Pigs. I look forward to them adding to our collection.
I Love Cake and Jack and the Magic Beans are the first two books off the presses, and thanks to My1story, one lucky reader will win a 10” x 10” hardcover copy of both books (retail value $25.98 for both). Enter to win below!
I received a copy of the books mentioned above for our review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
