I have a tiny confession.
I planned out our play date, where we were supposed to watch the movie Mirror Mirror. You know, that one movie my daughter has been begging me to watch all freaking week. Yeah, that one.
Did we actually end up watching the movie? Nope, not really.
It was on the whole time, and occasionally the kids would glance over, as would I. But you know how women are, we pretty much just talked the entire time, and the kids played, and eat, and played some more.
It was fun though. My friend Caroline brought over these adorable fire cracker fruit kabobs.

She also made these fire cracker favors, made out of mason jars. They had little bubbles, and kid friendly poppers inside, and glow sticks for at night. Totally cute, right?

Everyone got to go home with these super cute party favors, which included a water bottle, bookmark, nail file/compact mirror, and nail brush.
But you guys, I really wanted to see this movie still. So yesterday after dinner, we sat down and actually watched it.
It’s what you would call a modern day fairy-tale, with a twist. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out this Mirror Mirror movie trailer.
Although the girls were distracted a few times, it was a great family movie.
Have seen it yet? Or do you plan on watching it with your kids?
I received a copy of the movie and promotional item for my review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

we saw it in the theater and loved it. just wanted it again on blu ray this past weekend
It sounds like you had fun! And I’m glad to hear you watched it the next day. We saw it too and thought it was very creative and used a lot of imagination.
Sometimes it’s funner to just let them run wild lol. We haven’t seen it yet either, but it’s on my to watch list.

Ohhh I love those fruit kabobs. We haven’t seen the movie and don’t really plan to. I’d much rather see the Snow White & The Huntsman.
Let me know how you like that one! I want to see it too. I think that one is supposed to be for an older audience though, right?
Those are cute kabobs and favors. I would like to watch it, but I’ll probably wait until it’s on tv.
It’s funny how that works out. We had a party a while back and had several things to do in several rooms. In the back room we had a Tim Burton animated movie playing just in case someone wanted to see it. By the end of the party everyone was crowded around the TV just silently watching this movie the whole time. You never know what guests are going to want to do.
That is one of the funniest movie reviews I’ve ever read! Hah. Glad you finally got to see the movie, though! But I know exactly what you mean. Kids will easily get distracted and moms most definitely will chat it up. If it was a sports movie and dads were there, it’d be a different story. :)
We haven’t seen it, but I want to.
