Enjoying our outdoor space, thanks to @WorldMarket! #WorldMarketSweeps

Having three kids all five and under, it’s sometimes just easier to stay at home. Whether its for entertainment or dining, it’s much easier and less work to enjoy our home instead of trying to get everyone out the door.

One way we have learned to do this, is to create a comforting atmosphere outdoors.

That means going outside to barbecue, enjoying the cool evening breeze as we sit and watch the girls splashing around through the sprinkler, or in with their new water table, and just enjoying the long-warm summer nights.

Our backyard/patio area has continuously been a work in progress. We do however, all ready have a dinning set from five years ago. It’s okay. Not perfect by any means, but it works.

To make it a little more fun and enjoyable for us, we went to Cost Plus World Market over the weekend to check out their outdoor furniture and decor. I don’t usually shop there on a regular bases, but usually seasonally I will go and check out their sale items.

Since it’s the end of season (for retail anyways), everything for outdoors is on sale right now.

That said, they also didn’t have much to choose from in the seasonal section. Not too surprising, since I have heard friends saying they are seeing “Back to School” already out. I was able to find more outdoor sale items online at WorldMarket.com.

We ended up getting two beautiful Rio stripped pillows, a wicker placement, a set of colorful citronella candles, some cute matching Rio birds napkins, a basting brush (which we needed), and the girls got a cute little porcelain kid’s picnic basket set and a candy each. Overall, we spent less then $70.

I love how even just that little touch of color really made everything “pop” a little! Tell me you wouldn’t choose to dine in this comfortable-right outside your home-relaxing spot?
