Have you ever tried a Cleanse?

This is my first week post Mamavation Mom Campaign. In case you’re wondering how I am doing…

I am doing pretty damn good!

Not much has changed. I’m still going to the gym and trying to exercise as much as I can. I even took the girls to the park last week, which was about a mile and a half each way. I had over 12,000 steps that day. I’m trying really hard to stick to my eating plan as before. Although, on Friday, our anniversary dinner included a buffalo burger and a brownie sundae that we all shared. I also made these Delicious Carrot and Zucchini Cupcakes over the weekend and had way too many.

Over all, I lost almost another pound this week. Which is better then nothing at this point. I am now down 23.2 lbs total!

I couldn’t be happier about that.

This week, my goals are to continue to drink 100 oz of water each day. Go to the gym at least 3x this week and walk to the park at least one day this week.

On to my question…

On Saturday, I watched a documentary called Fat Sick and Nearly Dead. It documents two men who fast for 60 days and lose weight, become healthier, and overall just feel better.

Have you seen it?

I’m curious to know more about fasting with a juice cleanse. It’s something I would love to look more into, but I’m not sure if I could do it right now, while nursing.

Anyone ever try a juice cleanse? What did you think?

About Hanan Webster

In 2010, Hanan went from talking about her parenting up’s and down’s on private forums to discussing them with literally everyone on the internet with her blog lilac city momma. Since then, she’s had the opportunity to talk about parenting, cooking, photography, marriage, crafts, faith, and so much more. She also shares her opinions on everyday products from food to baby gear, and everything in between. With three little girls all under six, there is never a dull moment in their home. When she’s not blogging she’s chatting about parenting and life in general on Facebook and Twitter, or wasting way too much time on Pinterest.

Great job on losing weight. I have not done the juices, but I would really like to try one.

  4. I don’t believe in cleanses. It my own personal choice. If you do, make sure you do your research (I know you will)!

I am so proud of you and how you are still losing weight!! Great job not regressing. You are so on the right track!!

  6. Go Hanan, go Hanan! (me doing the cabbage patch – lol) That’s awesome that you lost ANOTHER pound. Woot! I’ve never tried a juice cleanse. I’ve done a detox before, and that was an experience! I’d be curious what a juice cleanse for 60 days would involve!

  7. Awesome job losing more weight this week. Dr Oz has a cleanse on his website – but it’s only for a few days – 60 days seems like a long time to me :)

  8. I have a friend who has done the Blueprint cleanse a few times. It’s pretty pricey and I don’t think she got the results she wanted.
