I first learned about eMeals from a friend last year. She told me about how easy it is to subscribe and receive meals weekly that cater to your family. Along with the recipes, you also get a handy grocery list of everything you need to buy as well.
eMeals was created by sisters Jane DeLaney, mother of four, and Jenny Cochran, mother of three. The sisters were frustrated by the challenge of coming up with healthy, budget-conscious meals for their own families and inspired by their own mother’s frugal ways, they launched the program in 2003.
eMeals relies on a team of experienced meal planners, writers and editors to create new dinner menus every week that are designed around grocery store sales, seasonal specials and diet preferences. For as low as $5.00 per month, subscribers download a recipe plan for the week with a matching aisle-by-aisle grocery list. The easy-to-follow recipes usually contain fewer than seven ingredients to allow for prep times of less than 30 minutes. It also helps families stay within a predictable budget by being prepared with a detailed list to use at the grocery store.
With over 30 meal plans to choose from, you can find exactly what your family needs.
Last year, we were on the Family Plan for any other store. However, after awhile I started to use eMeals less and less. That’s because in the past six months, I have been trying to focus on better eating for my family and I.
Well thankfully, just a few weeks ago, they rolled out with two new plans. A Natural & Organic plan, and a Clean Eating plan. Both, are really great plans to help your family eat better. I decided to make the switch to the Clean Eating Meal Plan, and buy organic as much as I can. Here is a sample of that plan if you’re interested.
I personally keep a binder with the meals printed weekly. If there is a meal I know we wont like, I can go back and use a past meal instead. Besides wonderful weekly meals, you can also subscribe to the eMeals Blog for recipes, tips on how to simplify your life, organize your days, and plan family fun.
Thanks to eMeals, one Lilac City Momma reader will win a 3 month FREE subscription to any eMeals plan of choice. Enter to win below!
