Losing weight can feel like the biggest challenge in our lives at times. I truly envy women who have a fast metabolism, and can eat junk food without putting on a pound. They’re living the dream of women up and down the country. All over the world in fact.
Probably the most difficult part of attempting to lose weight, is saying no.
No to food, no to yourself, no to the person at the store, who tries to sell you chocolate. No, no, no, no, no. You can say no in other areas easily: ‘No, I will not play on cheekybingo.com until after I’ve got this work done, or ‘No I won’t buy that DVD now’. So why is it so difficult to fight the voice in your head telling you to eat cheesecake?
In order to start saying no to your inner piglet, you have to train yourself into doing so. This doesn’t necessarily happen over night though. You might think you can go cold turkey from the off, and say no to every naughty snack, but the truth is, you need to ease yourself into it. Start by limiting yourself to saying yes to one naughty treat a day. Then when you are comfortable with this, cut this down to four a week.
Cut back and back until you’re down to one a week. Yes, you can keep one treat a week. Should you successfully cut out the bad foods and stick to your ‘no’ mantra, you will deserve a reward every so often. This is where your vow to say no gets tested. The day you are allowed a treat could weaken your resolve if you aren’t careful, and inspire you to eat more.
Be strong, be determined, be inspirational. Think of how good you will feel when you’ve slimmed down to your goal weight. Hopefully this motivation will be enough to spur you on.

I think part of the problem is that when you say no to the other things, your body doesn’t “feel” the loss. When you say no to something good, it’s always amazing that your mind tricks your body and you feel STARVING all of a sudden and now you NEED it…lol. Can you tell what my problem is?
My main motivation is my children. I went on a little hike and almost died completing it, all the while my 3 year old had no issue. I had a hard time keeping up with her but I HAD to because I cannot make my children suffer because of my poor choices as an adult.
