Let’s just teach our kids to say the “N” word!

So I have added on another pet peeve of mine today, to the all ready long list of course.

This morning as I was dropping Carleigh off at school, I couldn’t help but hear this SUV pull up in the parking lot. Why?

Probably because of the loud music blaring from it. Rap music. Rapping the “N” word… multiple times.

You know what. If you want to listen to that music, awesome. If you want to listen to it around your kids, to each their own. But why on earth would you possibly think it is okay to drive inside an Elementary School parking lot blasting it????

What the heck is wrong with people? Did they lose their common sense or respect for others and their children?

About Hanan Webster

In 2010, Hanan went from talking about her parenting up’s and down’s on private forums to discussing them with literally everyone on the internet with her blog lilac city momma. Since then, she’s had the opportunity to talk about parenting, cooking, photography, marriage, crafts, faith, and so much more. She also shares her opinions on everyday products from food to baby gear, and everything in between. With three little girls all under six, there is never a dull moment in their home. When she’s not blogging she’s chatting about parenting and life in general on Facebook and Twitter, or wasting way too much time on Pinterest.

I hate that kind of music!

  2. I’ve started responding to loud, filthy music by turning up something ridiculous like Veggie Tales really loud. My kids don’t notice the other music, they think Mommy’s being fun – the other driver, no doubt, is slightly annoyed.

  3. They didn’t lose their common sense because that means they had to have some in the first place.

I worked for a home care/medical supply company in a Chicago suburb and that type of music was played constantly in the warehouse where myself and other employees would have to go to several times a day to get equipment. Some of the music was degrading to different races and women. We’d complain to the supervisor and company president but it didn’t stop until one woman threatened a sexual harassment suit if they continued to play that type of music in her presence.
