I love bags, purses, handbags, whatever you want to call them. My problem, is that I just don’t have the money to spend on a purse, that I know I am going to get bored with within a few weeks.
Thank heaven for Miche Bags.
It’s a very simple process. There are six styles of “Base” bags to choose from. I decided on the Prima Bag, which is one of the more expensive bags, and is still only $44.95. I picked it because I wanted a bag that would be big enough to hold my things for the kids, like diapers, clothes, snacks, or even my camera.
Next, you chose your shells. They’re are tons to choose from, in each style.
I had a difficult time narrowing it down, but I finally decided on the Kendal and Heidi Shells. For me, I love to be able to interchange the shells, depending on my mood or where we are going. Knowing that you are getting designer style bags, for just a fraction of the cost is an even added bonus.
So, how do you change the shells?
It’s very easy. Around the mouth (opening) of the bag is magnetic. Each shell is designed to attach magnetically to the base bag. It takes me just a couple of minutes to switch the shells.
I have been using my bag for a few weeks now, and even brought it with me when I went to New York. The Kendal shell does have some scuff marks on it, from my daily use. But so far, I am still loving it.

This is a brilliant idea! As someone who can answer a wholehearted “yes” to the question presented in the title of this post, I think having a purse with interchangeable shells is both economical and fun. Since you’ve tried this purse for a little while now, do you find that the shells show wear faster than a regular handbag? I’d appreciate your feedback!
