BornFree for Toddlers

Kids grow up fast enough already, and while I can’t wait for Olivia to be using a big girl cup, a stock pile and variety of sippy cups is inevitable. Luckily for me BornFree takes out all the guess work of the ever changing “what to watch out for” list.

Their training and toddler cups come in 7-9 oz. options as well as these other great features;

  • Helps baby transition from bottle to cup
  • ActiveFlow™ Venting Technology helps reduce bubbles and gas
  • Teething-friendly spout
  • Handles designed for little hands
  • Decorated with fun animal designs
  • Dishwasher safe
  • BPA Free (Bottles are also PVC free)
  • All Born Free Cups and Bottles and interchangeable
  • Fun colors

The training and drinking cups have quite a few parts which was a little discouraging not having a dishwasher. I was shocked and delighted to find them a breeze to clean. I like that the parts are interchangeable so I’m not searching through the  lids and spouts looking for specific pieces or colors. I also enjoy the unique style and put together of the cups and the way it fits in to my daughters hands. She was hard pressed to quit nursing so I think she really enjoys the spout.

We’re a huge fan of homeopathic teething tablets but I’ve always tried to keep teethers on hand. (Even if my daughter has never wanted anything to do with them) I’ve learned persistence is key for a little comfort. When our leaf teether came, in red, it reminded me of a cherry. I love cherries and their bright and whimsical place in almost everything from car decor to kitchen potholders. This tickled my fancy and I worked harder to get Olivia to try it out. She’s recently been complaining about her teeth so it was perfect!

The teethers have great features as well, including;

  • Soothes  and stimulates baby’s gums
  • Can be chilled or frozen for added comfort
  • Nature inspired designs in bright, fun colors
  • BPA free

It’s thick and sturdy design is easier to actually chomp on if needed without having to worry about a potential messy or leaking liquid inside.The fact that it’s not a ring makes it easier for her to chow down on the back teeth safely as well. I will say that when I pull it out of the freezer there isn’t a lot of substance to necessarily keep it cool for a long time but this didn’t seem to phase Livi and we just put it right back in as soon as she’s done.

Comments

  1. I adore the Born Free products! We started using them after the Children’s Hospital we frequented got rid of all the plastics. That was shortly before all the BPA recalls and we found Born Free to be one of the first company with info out about the plastic.

    I didn’t realize you could freeze or chill the tops. What a great idea! My cups have all been through 2 kiddos but I hope to add to the stash for baby #3.

  2. We’re big fans of the Born Free line. Their bottles were the only ones that could ease my daughter’s upset belly as an infant. I love that the tops can be chilled (why didn’t I think of that?!?) – and of course, that everything’s BPA-free.
