It’s March, and sadly I have yet to make that effort to eat healthier or exercise.
I know I need to kick my butt into shape, and more importantly I need to improve my overall health.
I am no longer pregnant, and Athena is now 11 weeks old. I really have no excuse, except that I have been lazy about it.
Right before I had her, I suffered from my first Gallbladder attack. I can honestly say it was more painful then a labor contraction. At least with contractions, there is a short period of time in between to relax. With a Gallbladder attack, it’s just one continuous pain that flows throughout your chest and back.
My midwife told me that I needed to stay away from pork or pork products for at least 6 weeks after she was born. Even though I did, I still continued to have more attacks after she was born.
I know it’s mostly due to what I am eating, and the fact that I am overweight. As if the attacks weren’t bad enough, my bowel movements have also been irregular and lets just say…not fun.
Besides cutting out certain foods and drinking more water, I knew I needed to get more probiotics into my body, so I bought some Activia yogurt that contains live cultures.
Probiotics are bacteria that help maintain a healthy digestive system. They contribute to a healthy microflora and support immune system function.
I still continue to take my VitaFusion Prenatal Vitamins daily, but never thought about trying probiotics (in a pill form), until I heard of new 4X Pro-B Digestive Care Natural Probiotic, which promotes gastrointestinal health and helps balance your digestive system.
I was sent a 3-week supply to try. I can honestly say, I have noticed a difference. I haven’t had a single attack, or any pains at all. Not to mention, my bowel movements have finally become regular again. I just feel better. Plus, it is so much easier to take one of these every day then to try and eat a ton of yogurt.
Compare 4x Pro-B to Align.
One thing I was nervous about was being able to take it while breastfeeding the baby. Since it is probiotics, just like in food, it is completely safe.
You can purchase 4x Pro-B at Costco.com for only $21.99. Each box contains a 9-week supply. That’s less then $2.50 a week to help keep your digestive system in track.
Now that I am feeling better, my goal is to work on not eating out (as usual) and getting in at least 20 minutes of exercise on the Kinect or even walks as the weather gets nicer. Small steps.

- 4x Pro-B is only available at Costco.com, but don’t worry…even if you are not a Costco member you can still purchase it online.

I’m so glad too!
I have been taking ProB 4X too! I have noticed a difference in my digestion, really, almost immediately. I wasn’t taking any form of probiotic before, so I guess I really needed it!

I did too!
I have taken probiotics and loved them, my problem is remembering to take them consistently! This is a really good price, I’m going to check them out!

Oh good!
I am taking them too. I haven’t really noticed a difference yet though (which is kind of disappointing…). But I am glad to hear that you have. Maybe over the next month I will notice something!

I hope so!!
I always wondered if these worked! Glad to hear they are working for you. I hope your gallbladder feels better. I had mine out after I had my 3rd kiddo. That was way more painful than labor for sure. I thought I was going to die from the pain. I seriously believe you have to experience that to understand how horrible it feels.
Hope your plan for a healthy year continues!

That’s perfect especially since I do not like yogurt!! My mother had gallbladder problems and I remember how bad she hurt! Hopefully this continues to help.

I’m going to look into this. We buy Kefir but I think that’s even more spendy than what you’re doing! Thanks for sharing all of this!

I too, have been procrastinating making some healthy changes in my life. At least you have a cute excuse. My youngest is over two years old! I’m so glad you are seeing improvements!
