Organic baby food. It’s something we all want for our children, maybe something we even start, but realistically if you’re like me you might get three or four meals in before you realize you don’t have the time, energy or effort to deal with the details. Especially with two or more little kiddos running around.
Baby Gourmet has stepped up and not only taken all the guess work, energy and time out of it, but packed it in some pretty tasty combinations. My Olivia, who is a pretty picky eater for being a baby, went crazy over some of the flavors.
All of our products start out in Jen’s and Jill’s own kitchens—not in a lab or a factory. We know that as busy moms you probably don’t have time to think about things like viscosity (texture), brix (natural sweetness) and pH. That’s why we think about it all day, every day.

I started the day out with Baby Gourmet Orchard Apple, Carrot and Prune for babies 6+ months. It had a lot more texture than the other stuff we feed her, I could even see some of the foods natural beginnings.
First, I put some in a bowl and fed to her that way.

She was quite curious as to what I was doing.

She was also quite happy, and wanting more.

After a quick tour of their website and seeing some little ones eating it right from the container… I thought I’d let her try.

She sucked the life out of it down to the last drop.
For lunch she had the Baby Gourmet Sweet Potato Pie for babies 7+ months. Let me tell you, it smelled like pie! So much so, I’m going to try to make a delicious sweet potato meal for Thanksgiving for the first time in my life. Yum!
For dinner she had Baby Gourmet Tropical Banana Bliss for babies 8+ months. While I will say that she didn’t eat that full meal and hasn’t really eaten since ( she has 2+ teeth coming in ) the texture of it was more soupy than the 6+ or 7+ month foods. That was my only complaint.
I liked that I could bring these little morsels on the go, that I didn’t need a bowl and if I was busy, she could feed herself and get that independence she’s craving in a safe and sophisticated manner. I also liked that all the ingredients were organic, and that the combinations were actually tasty and appealing to the parent’s nose.
Honestly, I can’t wait to see what new flavors Baby Gourmet comes out with and I can’t wait to stock my cupboards with a back up supply. While I can’t say that we’ve tried any other organic baby foods, I will say this opened my eyes to the possibilities.
Every package of Baby Gourmet passes strict nutritional and food safety guidelines. We pass all USDA and organic certifications. But, as moms, we go a step further. We actually taste every single batch ourselves. If we don’t absolutely love it, we pour it out and start from scratch. It’s true! Because our bottom line is not ‘the bottom line’. It’s our commitment to making the best-tasting, most nutritious food—the only kind we would feed our own children.

I would like to thank Baby Gourmet for providing me with products mentioned above. No other compensation was received, and my opinions are 100% my own. Full Disclosure here.

Adorable pics! And my boys, 3 1/2 years and 2 years, still LOVE eating the pouched fruits! They think of it as juice but I love that they are getting great servings of fruits while they are enjoying it! :)
