Green Works Cleaning Products – Safe for the Family

I’m just going to throw this out there. I hate dislike cleaning. Don’t get me wrong, as much as I don’t like to do laundry or scrub the toilet, it is still my job to keep our home clean. Just one of the many duties I have as a stay-at-home mom and wife. Well, minus the dishes and mowing the yard. I smoothed talked my husband into doing those.

About a year ago, probably more (hello pregnancy brain), I was shopping at Walmart and needed to buy some new spray cleaner for my kitchen. That’s when I first noticed (and everyone else started to as well) “Green” cleaners.

Specifically Green Works, by The Clorox Company.

This was at a time, when “green” was becoming more mainstream. You know, the it thing. To be honest, I’m not really one of those people who usually jumps on to the latest thing just because, but to me being green meant something more important. It meant helping keep my family healthy. Having two young kids in the house, anything I can do as a mother to keep their little bodies healthy, is what is most important to me.

Why do I love Green Works products?

Because they are all natural products.

Some of the essential Green Works products I use in my own home:

Green Works Compostable Wipes pack some serious cleaning power and are made with naturally derived ingredients, such as citric acid and wood fibers. That means they won’t give off harsh chemical fumes or leave behind harsh chemical residue. Since they are 100% biodegradable, we can even throw them into the compost bin after using.

From the cooktop to the countertop, Green Works All-Purpose Cleaner powers through grease, grime and dirt without leaving behind harsh chemical fumes or residues. It’s even safe to use on multiple surfaces throughout the kitchen and bathroom. My number one go-to cleaner.

Green Works Laundry Detergent is not only strong enough to get out all those daily kid stains out, it’s also dermatologist-tested for sensitive skin. Which is perfect for baby clothing. The powerful combination of naturally derived cleaning ingredients will leave laundry fresh and clean, without phosphates, optical brighteners or harsh chemical residue. The detergent is formulated for both standard and high-efficiency (HE) washers.

Green Work Bathroom Cleaner is made with plant and mineral-based cleaning ingredients that power through all that soap scum, rust and hard water stains left behind, without harsh chemical fumes and residue. It works strong on our bathroom counters, sink, bathtub, and even tile and shower doors if you have them.

The only downfall I have with Green Works Cleaning Products is they are NOT disinfectants, they only clean and deodorize. For the most part that is okay, but when those colds (aka Flu Season) start rolling in, regular Clorox will come in handy.

  1. I actually like the fact that Greenworks doesn’t disinfect. We have antibacterial everything nowadays to the point where our immune systems aren’t getting proper exposure. Bring on the Greenworks and save the Clorox for when there’s a legitimate need (like you’re doing with flu season. Bravo!)

  2. I love that there are no harsh chemicals or fumes, I can’t stand that when your house is supposedly clean but then you feel like you’re choking on the smells from it. Not to mention not wanting to think about what that’s doing to my kids…
