Email Love

Thank you to Yahoo! Mail for sponsoring this post about staying connected. I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do.

Do you remember when you were little and would always ask if you could run out to check the mail box? No, just me? Well, for me it was like Christmas getting mail. Heck, even the junk mail. What was even more exciting was when it was addressed to me. Which of course would only be for my birthday or Hanukkah.

But as the years go by, the mail becomes less exciting since most of it ends up being bills. See, not as fun. I do still feel the same way though about getting my email. Silly as it may seem. I truly enjoy seeing new emails in my inbox.

Day 389: Command

I love emails. Yes, occasionally you get hit up with all that spam mail, but that’s just a quick “delete” to solve.

The first thing I do in the mornings, well after peeing, making breakfast, and getting the girls dressed, is turn my computer on, open up my inbox, and start by checking out what’s in store for that day.

I know it may seem unproductive to some, but I love starting my days with for instance,

- The weekly store ad to start my grocery list for this week.

- The deal of the day for our local area. Hello, two movie tickets for $9, great deal! Which we got to use a couple of weeks ago for our anniversary date.

- Messages from the Mommy and Me group the girls and I are apart of. Whether it be new meet ups for the week or suggestions from other moms.

- Pitches for my blog from companies, comments from my royal readers (love you guys), and blog posts I am subscribed to from other blogs.

Most importantly, the emails I receive from my friends and family. No matter how far apart we may be, how busy life gets, I still love to read how they are doing!

My aunt, who is pretty internet incapable (love you still), sends me pics from her trips, which I love to see since well it may be awhile for us to travel outside our state.

For some it may be a headache, but for me it’s relaxing to get the chance to sit and read through emails everyday!

How do you feel about emails, yay or nay?

About Hanan Webster

In 2010, Hanan went from talking about her parenting up’s and down’s on private forums to discussing them with literally everyone on the internet with her blog lilac city momma. Since then, she’s had the opportunity to talk about parenting, cooking, photography, marriage, crafts, faith, and so much more. She also shares her opinions on everyday products from food to baby gear, and everything in between. With three little girls all under six, there is never a dull moment in their home. When she’s not blogging she’s chatting about parenting and life in general on Facebook and Twitter, or wasting way too much time on Pinterest.

  1. I LOVE LOVE LOVE email but I love all mail. I still love pulling up to my driveway and checking the mail. In fact, my husband has started leaving it for me to check instead of stealing my thunder. So yes, email…bring it on! I should also mention that I hate the phone.
