Today we headed to the park so my little one could run, and play, and get some energy out. She desperately needed to and I have been a total slacker this past week, on taking her out to play. Of course my three going on 13 year old found an adorable little boy to play with. When I say little, he was more like six or seven. That’s like Tom to Katie, way too old.
Well anyways they played bonded in the whole half an hour we were there and she said “Mommy I love him. I want to marry him.”
Seriously little girl? You’re three years old, and I’m soooo not ready to deal with her and boys. Man, do I feel bad for the dudes, who will be having to deal with my husband one day.
Maybe that will keep them away?! Yeah, I know, wishful thinking…
Of course when it was time to leave she cried and threw the biggest tantrum, because she did not want to leave him and those terrible three’s decided to kick in, all the way to the car. Absolutely no fun.
I thought boys were supposed to be gross and icky? Damn Disney and all their love story movies.

That was so funny!!
When we came home i asked do you still want to marry him. she said no, where home now. lol!!
Kelly, when we came home i asked do you still want to marry him. she said no, where home now. lol!!
Stopping by through the Mommyhood Memos – very cute story. My little one is only nine months old and we play date (speaking of dates) with a boy whose three months older. I joke about her playing with an "older man." As for your little 'un – I remember having a "boyfriend" in kindergarten, but then deciding boys were gross until much later after that – maybe it's a phase?
How funny! Gotta love kids! :DI have some big news for you, but finding out through a comment isn't fun! :P So go to my blog and try to find your name! ;)Have a great day!!
oh, this is too funny! your little girl is hilarious, and you're so right – it MUST be those disney movies! outta control! (i remember being completely obsessed with cinderella and sleeping beauty.) our "play dates" around here are still just my mommy friends and i get together while our kids try and suck on each others hands. they're only just now starting to get interested in interacting more. will be fun as they get a bit older and actually start to play though. but really, we must salvage the date nights!!! i don't want play dates to be my only dates. :(thanks for joining in! i love this!adriel
haha! So true! One time, my daughter asked, "Daddy. Is he my prince?" I said, "No sweetheart. He's a meanie." Something tells me that's not going to work much longer.
